BOIREMAS

BOIREMAS - Bank of India Retired Employees Medical Assistance Scheme

ELIGIBILITY - Employee who has retirned on super annuation - Employee retired voluntarily should have completed 55 years of age or 30 years of service - Employees resigned/terminated by way of penalty, dismissed/removed/compulsorily retired are not eligible. - If husband and wife both are employed in Bank, only one can become a member of the scheme.

MEMBERSHIP FEE - 100% of last drawn basic by way of PS/DD favouring BANK OF INDIA RETIRED EMPLOYEES MEDICL ASSISTANCE SCHEME

APPLICATION should be filled in with all details such as PF Number, Address with pin code, Telephone/Mobile Number, 15 digit account number, etc.

1. Welfare year commences from 1st March to 28th/29th February of the next year

2. The member has to stake his claim fo reimbursement of expenses in the same Welfare year in which the expenses are incurred.  Reimbursement claims for previous years will not be considered.

3. Expenses incurred prior to date of acceptance of membership (date mentioned on the membership card/letter) will not be reimbursed.

4. Member can opt for reimbursement of hospitalisation expenses of for payment of insurance premium and the option once exercised is irrevocable.  If a member has not given option, his first claim will be deemed to be treated as his option exercised.

5. For reimbursement of insurance premium, xerox copy of insurance policy showing the names of insured persons and receipt of premium paid is to be submitted alongwith the application.

6. In case of hospitalisation claims, branch to send all the original bills/receipts/discharge card alongwith the application.  The amounts will be reimbursed as pereligibility.

7. Branches will not make any reimbursement.  Branches should submit the claims to Head Office .   Head Office will directly credit the respective member's account from their end.

IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE:

FROM THE WELFARE YEAR MARCH 2013 TO FEBRUARY 2014 ONWARDS  -->

The DOMICILIARY EXPENSES would be credited to the respective accounts of all the members of REMAS by Rs.2000 (Rupees Two thousand only) every year, without insisting/submitting any declaration by the Head Office.

CONVEYANCE ALLOWANCE

PAYMENT OF CONVEYANCE ALLOWANCE TO BLIND AND ORTOPAEDICALLY HANDICAPPED EMPLOYEES (OFFICERS AND AWARD STAFF) -

AT 5% OF BASIC PAY - SUBJECT TO MAXIMUM OF RS.400 PER MONTH WITH EFFECT FROM 18.02.2009
