Halting Allowance

HALTING ALLOWANCE with effect from 01.05.2010 shall be payable at the following rates for the days spent on duty outside the headquarters:

Places with population of 12 lacs and above and States of Goa

Places with population of 5 lacs and above, Stage Capitals/Capitals of Union Territories not covered in (A)

Other places

Rs.375 per diem

Rs.250 per diem

Rs.185 per diem

NOTES: When an employee goes on outstation duty and if the place of visit is outside panchayat/municipal/ cantonment/corporation limits and if the distance of the place of visit is more than 5 Kms. from the branch or office, he is entitle to (in addition to actual travelling expense as applicable to his cadre):

i. Batta allowance if the journey does not involve night stay and if his return from the outstation work does not exceed his normal working hours, or

ii. Halting allowance if the journey does not involve night stay and if his return from the outstation work exceeds his normal working hours.

iii. Batta allowance is one half of the halting allowance.

SPECIAL PAY – Clause 11 of 9th Bipartite Settlement dated 27.04.2010

a. All existing clerical staff who are not drawing any special pay as on 30.04.2010 shall be paid a Special Pay of Rs.1000 per month which is merged with their Basic Pay and they are designated as Single Window Operator “A” and shall be liable to discharge the duties as provided in Part C in Schedule II

b. Similarly, all existing subordinate staff who are not drawing any special pay as on 30.04.2010 shall be paid a special pay of Rs.350 per month which is merged with their Basic Pay and they are liable o discharge the duties as provided in Part C in Schedule II

c. With effect from 01.05.2010 the duties and responsibilities of clerical and subordinate staff shall be as set out in Schedule III

d. With effect from 01.05.2010, clerical staff and subordinate staff recruited in the Banks shall be liable to discharge the duties as provided in Part C of Schedule II. Duties which require special skill such as Stenographer, Telephone Operator, liftman, etc. shall be assigned to those who possess the required skills.

e. From 01.05.2010 there shall be only following posts attracting special pay as under:

Dear Sir, if a clerk goes outstation for work and reaches back to his own branch at 9pm then it is sure that he will get Halting allowance but tell me if he would also get Overtime allowance or not.

Sir whether halting payable to award staff for cash remittance outside municipal limits for a time period of one and half hours
